Dr. Fowler’s Chiropractic Story:

Dr. James and Dr. Barb"After a grueling match during a wrestling tournament, remembers Dr. Fowler, "my neck didn’t feel right. I tried to ice it, take some advil, and sleep it off. The next day it was so stiff I couldn’t move it more than an inch in any direction! Any movement sent pain shooting from the muscles. That led to my first time at the chiropractor’s office.

"After a thorough evaluation he told us he found the problem and adjusted my spine. The adjustment didn’t hurt, it actually felt great. I was able to wrestle in the tournament the next weekend without any problems!

"It worked so well for me that after getting care from him and getting to see the difference he was making in the lives of all his patients, I decided to become a chiropractor myself."

Dr. Fowler began his pre-chiropractic education at Eastern Michigan University where he graduated magna cum loude and with honors. His degree was human physiology with a minor in chemistry.

After completing his study there, he was accepted at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. During his four years at Parker, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Parker College Public Clinic. After graduating in 2005 Dr. Fowler loved living in Dallas so much that he started First Step Chiropractic in Rowlett, TX.

Dr. Fowler met his wife, Dr. Barb, at Chiropractic school and they are both passionate about changing lives through chiropractic. He is an experienced public speaker and can truly captivate an audience on a variety of health related topics. This year was the second year for him to be able to announce the Rowlett Holiday Parade. Since Starting First Step Chiropractic he has been a member of the Rowlett, Sachse, and Wylie Chamber of Commerce’s, The Rowlett Exchange Club, and has help raise food for the Rowlett Needy Children’s Fund. He currently serves as Chair of the Rowlett Chamber Ambassadors.
